This is what "hospitality" means to me...

February 7, 2017

Hospitality is a feeling. It’s about providing service to others in trust. It really is about smiles and sharing in the spirit of love. The “host/hostess” extends their own personality and style in a place where people can express their authentic self.

Hospitality is place where everyone can be exceptional individuals.

Chevalier Louis de Jaucourt, a French scholar and the most prolific contributor to the Encyclopédie, describes Hospitality this way: “virtue of a great soul that cares for the whole universe through the ties of humanity.”

Hospitality is about being welcoming, amiable, courteous, attentive, and gracious, demonstrating consistent excellence and quality. It is not about being “cast” as a servant, but about giving of self in service, providing value and worth while demonstrating your own unique points of distinction.

Hospitality refers to the relationship between a guest and a host, wherein the host receives the guest with goodwill, including the reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.” ~ Wikipedia
